Adding Checkbox Questions
Start by entering the Assessment Generator editor.
First, select the “Edit” link in the menu underneath your assessment.
Then click on the “Questions” tab at the top of the page.
Create a Checkbox Question
To add a question to your assessment, click on the “Add Question” button.
Alternatively, you can mouseover any existing questions and choose either the Add Above or Add Below links. These links will add your new question either above or below your existing question.
Select “Checkbox Question” from the list of choices and click “OK”.
Enter Your Question
First, enter your question in the editor window and then adjust the styling as desired.
Next, set the point value awarded if checked
Assign to Type (for Type-Based Assessments)
For Type-Based Assessments only, you will next see a field where you can assign your question to one of the types that you’ve set up under the “Types” tab.
The point value set for this question will be assigned to the type specified here. If you do not set a type you’ll see an error indicator in the Questions tab screen.
Add an Identifier
This is an optional field that enables you to reference the answer to a question.
Question Enabled Setting
Next is the question enabled setting. Each question that you create will be enabled by default. You can choose to disable individual questions in your assessment by unchecking this box.
Optional Notes Field
Finally, there’s an additional text window where you can add notes that will appear below the question.
This field is optional and exists to provide more flexibility when designing your assessment.
Save Your Question
When you click the “Save” button to store your question settings, you are returned to the “Question” tab where you can see your list of questions.
