Any assessment can have different types of responses or all the same type of responses
A simple assessment can have multiple question types. The user receives a single score, and you can set up custom results text based on the score the user received (this is known as a score key).
Questions are assigned to two or more types or categories that you define. The user receives a separate score for each type or category, and those scores can be graphed.
Example Category types: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced
Type-Based assessments do not have Score Keys - only Scores. An example: you may have an assessment with the categories beginner, intermediate, advanced. Questions are assigned to a category and scores are calculated for each category. So you would receive a score for beginner, one for intermediate and one for advanced. These samples have the chart feature enabled.
